A large, oak framed extension was added to this listed 15th century farmhouse; the new build and the original property blending together perfectly to create a stunning family home.
The traditionally built extension contains a large kitchen with a brick inglenook fireplace and Aga. The brickwork of the fireplace, both internally and externally, adds an interesting feature to the property and a real focal point to the stone floored kitchen.
Upstairs we created two large, oak- floored bedrooms, and refurbished two bathrooms within the existing house to a high specification. Externally a two-storey, two car cart lodge and log store was also added to the property to maximise the functionality of the outside space
This Exquisite Grade II Listed Georgian house in formal gardens with secondary accommodation, outbuildings and organic pasture was in desperate need of both sympathetic restoration and with the clients foresite much needed modernisation.
Our clients property sits back from a quiet lane in a rural Essex hamlet and is surrounded by lawns, formal gardens and mature trees, the setting is perfect for a house of its calibre.
