This renovation had to be completed with a real sensitivity to the appearance of the rest of the property to ensure that the extension and repairs did not stand out as a new build.
Fire had damaged one side of this building in the 1950s, and the previous repairs that had been carried out were not in keeping with the rest of the building. We therefore re-built this side of the property and added a solid oak extension.
This Exquisite Grade II Listed Georgian house in formal gardens with secondary accommodation, outbuildings and organic pasture was in desperate need of both sympathetic restoration and with the clients foresite much needed modernisation.
Our clients property sits back from a quiet lane in a rural Essex hamlet and is surrounded by lawns, formal gardens and mature trees, the setting is perfect for a house of its calibre.
